The Accommodation

both cottages are fully equipped for two people. They are both single story unit's converted by us to a high standard from a barn. The properties are well insulated having double glazing throughout. The stone walls keep in the warmth on chilly days and keep you cool and out of the heat on scorching hot days. Heating is by efficient night storage heaters. All accommodation is on the ground floor, it is ideal for anyone who can walk but can't cope with stairs.
Have I mentioned the castles, the stately home, the gardens, the museum, the potteries, the art galleries, the pubs, the restaurants, the coffee shops, the tea shops and the delightful ancient towns with loads of opportunity for a bit of retail therapy.

We also do a bed and breakfast.I have 2 double rooms, both ensuite, one with bath & shower, the other with shower.
2 single rooms, sharing a luxury bathroom, 1 room ground floor with twin beds. can be either b & b or completely self-catering having a fully fitted kitchen, entrance hall and access onto the garden, (we call this the studio.)
Tea and coffee available in the rooms. Note the T.V is in the comfortable lounge with log burning stove. We also have a large conservatory for everyones use, so peaceful ideal for visiting family & friends or attending weddings, a lovely retreat, come and go as you please, arrive early to get ready for a wedding etc retreat to change for the evening - home from home.
Local Area
Plenty of shops in all the nearby towns, Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth, Telford, Ellesmere, Oswestry, Bishops Castle and Clun. Some have street markets as well as designer shops, quaint alleys and shuts, amazing black and white properties, wonderful architecture, parks and gardens and riverside walks.

Walking
We are close to the Shropshire Way. See the leaflet in the cottage. Plenty of gentle strolls along the lanes look out over hedges to see the farmland and animals, enjoy the abundance of wild flowers along the roadside. Marvel at the views that make this part of Shropshire so special. Go up onto the Longmynd and do more challenging walks.
